Welcome to Khan Academy Kids!

Hi there! Welcome to the Khan Academy Kids YouTube channel. This channel is a great place for both kids and adults to learn and have fun together. Let’s explore what you can find here!

For Adults

If you’re a parent, grandparent, carer, or educator, this channel has lots of helpful resources for you. We’ll show you how to set up and use our app to get the most out of it. You’ll find answers to common questions about our learning approach and discover activities you can do outside the app, like printable resources. We also share tips on how to organize your day and suggest fun activities for kids.

For Kids

Kids, get ready for some fun! We have a daily circle time where we read stories and do learning activities together. It’s a great way to connect and learn, just like in preschool or school, but now you can do it at home too!

We’re so happy you found Khan Academy Kids, and we can’t wait to start learning with you. Let’s have a great time exploring and discovering new things together!

  • What is your favorite activity to do at home that helps you learn something new? Why do you enjoy it?
  • Can you think of a story or a book you would like to read during circle time? What makes that story special to you?
  • How do you feel when you learn something new with your family or friends? Can you share a time when you learned something fun together?
  1. Story Time Adventure: After watching a story during circle time, try creating your own story! Gather some paper and crayons, and draw a picture of your favorite part of the story. Then, think about how you would change the ending or what you would do if you were a character in the story. Share your new story with a family member or friend and ask them what they think!

  2. Learning in Nature: Go on a nature walk with an adult and try to find things that remind you of what you learned during circle time. For example, if you read a story about animals, look for birds, insects, or other creatures. Take a moment to observe them and think about what they might be doing. When you get home, draw a picture or write a sentence about what you saw and learned.

  3. Daily Routine Fun: Think about your daily routine and how you can make it more fun. Create a colorful schedule with drawings or stickers for each part of your day, like breakfast, playtime, and storytime. Try to include one new activity you learned from the Khan Academy Kids channel, like a new game or craft. Share your schedule with your family and see if they have any fun ideas to add!
