Welcome to Our Fun Learning Adventure!

Hello, friend! Today, we’re going to learn about something exciting: neighbors! Are you ready? Let’s jump right in!

What is a Neighbor?

Neighbors are people who live close to each other. They might live in the same building or just down the street. Neighbors are part of a community, which is a group of people living in the same area.

Finding Neighbors

Let’s play a fun game! We’ll look at some pictures and find out who the neighbors are. Are you ready? Let’s go!

Picture Time!

Look at the first picture. Do you see two people waving at each other? They live in the same apartment building, so they are neighbors. Great job spotting them!

Now, let’s look at another picture. There’s a scuba diver swimming with lots of fish. Do you think they are neighbors? No, because people don’t live underwater with fish. Silly, right?

How about two people floating in outer space? Are they neighbors? Nope! People don’t live in outer space. But they do live in houses on Earth, and those people are neighbors!

Neighbors at the Park

Let’s look at two more pictures. In one, there’s a boy riding his bike all by himself. In the other, there are three people walking their dogs. Which picture shows neighbors?

Neighbors often meet at places like parks. The picture with the people walking dogs shows neighbors having fun together. Yay, you found them!

Great Job!

You’ve done an amazing job learning about neighbors today. Give yourself a big high-five! Remember, neighbors are people who live nearby and are part of our community.

  • Can you think of some neighbors you have met before? What do you like to do when you see them?
  • Why do you think it’s important to have good neighbors? How can we be good neighbors to the people who live near us?
  • Have you ever seen neighbors helping each other? What did they do, and how did it make you feel?
  1. Neighborhood Walk: With the help of a grown-up, take a walk around your neighborhood. Look for different houses, buildings, and people. Can you spot any neighbors? Maybe you see someone walking their dog or watering their plants. Talk about what makes them neighbors and how they are part of your community.

  2. Draw Your Neighborhood: Grab some paper and crayons. Draw a picture of your neighborhood. Include your house and the houses of your neighbors. You can also add trees, parks, or any other places you see when you look outside. Share your drawing with your family and tell them about the neighbors you included.

  3. Neighborly Acts: Think of a kind thing you can do for a neighbor. It could be drawing a picture for them, helping them with a small task, or simply saying hello with a big smile. Talk with a grown-up about how these small acts can help make your neighborhood a friendly and happy place.

Welcome to Kids Academy!

What is a neighbor?

Let’s get started on the worksheet. Neighbors live together in a community. They may live in the same area or very close nearby.

Let’s read the directions: check the pictures that show neighbors living together in a community. Remember that a neighbor is someone who lives nearby in your community.

Do you see any neighbors on this worksheet?

Yes! Look at the first picture. There are two people waving at one another. It looks like they live in the same apartment building, so they are neighbors. Good job!

Let’s find more neighbors.

Look at the scuba diver. There are many sea creatures around him, but this is not a community. People don’t live underwater with fish.

What about two people floating in outer space? Are they neighbors? No, people don’t live in outer space. But people do live in homes. These people are neighbors who live in nearby homes.

Now we have two pictures of people at the community park. In one picture, there is a boy riding his bike alone, and in the other picture, there are three people walking dogs. Which of these pictures show neighbors?

Sometimes neighbors meet at a common place in the community. They may shop at the same stores or, as you can see, play at the same park. The people in this picture are neighbors.

Way to go! Congratulations, you’ve completed the worksheet. Awesome work! See you later!
