Hi there! Today, we’re going to have some fun with painting and learning new words. Our friend Franny is painting a picture of Lulu. But wait, something is missing from the picture! Can you guess what it is?
Franny wants to make sure the picture is perfect. She thinks something is missing, and Tilly knows what it is. It’s the ears! But what does “ears” mean? Let’s call Word Wally to help us learn!
Word Wally is here to teach us words in two languages: English and Mandarin. Let’s learn together!
First, we have the mouth. We use it to make silly noises. In Mandarin, we say “Zuǐ.”
Next, we have the eyes. We use them to see what we’re painting. In Mandarin, they are called “Yǎnjing.”
Then, there’s the nose. We use it to smell yummy food. In Mandarin, it’s “Bízi.”
And finally, the missing part is the ears. In Mandarin, we say “Ěrduo.”

Face Parts Matching Game: Create a simple matching game using cards. On one set of cards, draw pictures of the parts of the face: mouth, eyes, nose, and ears.
