In today’s lesson, we explored the fun game of ping pong while also engaging in a playful song about finding family members. We practiced asking, “Where is Daddy?” and “Where is Mommy?” and enjoyed pretending to find them, fostering both learning and laughter. This lesson encourages children to play, sing, and learn together with family and friends, highlighting the joy of interactive play.
  1. What do we say when we find Daddy or Mommy?
  2. How do you feel when you play and sing with your family?
  3. Can you think of a fun game to play with your friends like we did with Daddy and Mommy?

Let’s Play Ping Pong!

Hi there, little friend! Today, we’re going to have some fun learning about a game called ping pong. It’s a game where you hit a small ball back and forth with paddles. But guess what? We’re also going to sing a fun song about finding our family members!

Where is Daddy?

Let’s start by looking for Daddy. Can you say, “Where is Daddy?” Now, let’s pretend Daddy is hiding. When we find him, we say, “Here I am, here I am!” Isn’t that fun? We can ask Daddy, “How are you this morning?” And he might say, “Very well, thank you!” Then, we can pretend to run away and giggle!

Where is Mommy?

Next, let’s look for Mommy. Can you say, “Where is Mommy?” When we find her, we say, “Here I am, here I am!” Just like with Daddy, we can ask Mommy, “How are you this morning?” And she’ll say, “Very well, thank you!” It’s so much fun to play and sing together!

Sing and Play Together!

Isn’t it fun to sing and play with our family? You can try this game with your friends too! Just pick someone to hide and then find them by singing the song. It’s a great way to have fun and learn at the same time!

Keep Learning and Having Fun!

Remember, you can always learn new things and have fun by watching videos and playing games. Ask a grown-up to help you find more fun videos to watch. Keep playing, singing, and learning every day!

  • Have you ever played a game where you had to find someone who was hiding? How did it feel when you found them?
  • What other games do you like to play with your family or friends that make you laugh and have fun?
  • If you could make up your own song about finding someone, who would you look for and what would your song sound like?
  1. Family Hide and Seek: Play a game of hide and seek with your family members, just like in the song. Ask a grown-up to help you find a safe place to play. When you find someone, sing the song, “Here I am, here I am!” and ask them how they are doing today. This will help you practice the words from the song and have fun with your family.

  2. Create Your Own Song: Think about other family members or friends you can include in your song. Can you make up new verses for “Where is Brother?” or “Where is Sister?” Draw a picture of each person and write down your new song lyrics. Share your song with your family and sing it together!

  3. Ping Pong Playtime: If you have a small ball and paddles, try playing a simple game of ping pong with a family member or friend. Count how many times you can hit the ball back and forth without dropping it. This activity will help you practice taking turns and improve your hand-eye coordination.
