Meet the Dinosaurs!

Hi there! Today, we’re going to learn about some amazing dinosaurs. Dinosaurs were big creatures that lived a long, long time ago. Let’s find out which dinosaur is the biggest!

The Dino Friends

Once upon a time, there were two dinosaur friends. One was named Baby Busi, and the other was a Triceratops. They were having a friendly chat.

Baby Busi said, “I am a big dino!” But Triceratops thought, “No way! I am bigger than you!”

They both wanted to know who was the biggest. So, they decided to find out!

Let’s Measure!

Then came another dinosaur, Pachycephalosaurus. He said, “Don’t argue with each other. We can find out easily! Let’s measure how big you are.”

Measuring means finding out how tall or long something is. It’s like when you stand next to a ruler to see how tall you are!

Who is the Biggest?

After measuring, they found out that Argentina was the biggest dino! Wow, Argentina must be really, really big!

Fun Dino Facts

Did you know? Triceratops had three big horns on its head. It looked like it was wearing a crown!

And Pachycephalosaurus had a very thick skull. It was like wearing a helmet all the time!

  • What do you think it would be like to have a dinosaur as a friend? How would you spend your day together?
  • If you could choose to be any dinosaur, which one would you be and why? What special features would you have?
  • Have you ever measured something to find out how big it is? What did you measure, and how did you do it?

Lesson Activities

  • Dino Size Hunt: Go on a dinosaur size hunt around your home or classroom! Find objects that are big, medium, and small. Compare them to the size of different dinosaurs. Which object is as big as Baby Busi? Which one is as big as a Triceratops? Use a measuring tape or a ruler to measure the objects and see how they compare to each other.
  • Create Your Own Dino Crown: Just like the Triceratops with its three horns, make your own dino crown! Use paper, crayons, and stickers to design a crown with three points. Wear your crown and pretend to be a Triceratops. How does it feel to have a crown like a dinosaur?
  • Think and Share: Imagine you are a dinosaur for a day. What would you do? Where would you go? Share your story with a friend or family member. Draw a picture of your dinosaur adventure and explain why you chose to be that dinosaur.
