In the “Welcome to Storytime Fun!” lesson, children are introduced to two engaging stories: “Who’s Pooh” and “Where Did My Teddy Go.” Through these narratives, they explore various activities associated with different professions and animals, emphasizing that everyone is special in their own way, before embarking on a playful search for Teddy, culminating in a cozy goodnight. The session encourages reading, imagination, and a sense of community among young learners.

  2. What animals did we learn about at the zoo?
  3. Where did Teddy go in the story?

Welcome to Storytime Fun!

Hello, friends! How are you today? Are you learning lots of new things and making new friends? I hope you’re reading lots of books too! Thanks for joining us for storytime!

Let’s Read “Who’s Pooh”!

Today, we have a fun book called “Who’s Pooh” by Daisy Bird and Mariana Coo. Are you ready to explore the story with us?

We’re going to the zoo, but remember, we have to be good and not talk about that topic!

What Do Different People Do?

What do astronauts do? They do shiny, silver space activities! How about little dogs? They do tiny, playful activities!

What about chefs? They make yummy food on big plates, but it takes a long time!

Balloon sellers make fun shapes that can pop if you step on them!

People with tattoos have colorful designs on their skin!

Ice cream scoopers make cold, squishy treats that look like chocolate ice cream!

Zoo Adventures!

Now, let’s learn about animals at the zoo!

Chameleons do sneaky activities; they can hide anywhere!

Penguins do frosty activities and build little snow people!

Blue whales do giant activities, the biggest you can imagine!

Remember, it doesn’t matter who you are or what you do; everyone is special!

Let’s Read “Where Did My Teddy Go”!

Now, we have another story called “Where Did My Teddy Go” by Famila Simmons. Let’s find out where Teddy is!

The stars are bright, and the moon is low. Where did Teddy go?

Is Teddy on the chair? No, he’s not!

Is Teddy climbing to bed? Nope!

Is Teddy with Sir Robot? No one is there!

Is Teddy brushing by the sink? He’s come and gone!

Is Teddy getting dressed? He’s not here!

Could Teddy be near? Yes, we found him!

Now that Teddy is found, it’s time to say goodnight. Goodnight, Mama! Goodnight, my child! Goodnight, Teddy!

Thank You for Joining Us!

Did you find your teddy? Are you ready for bed? Thank you for reading with us! If you liked the stories, give us a thumbs up and subscribe for more fun stories. See you soon! Goodnight, bye-bye!

  • What was your favorite part of the story “Who’s Pooh”? Can you think of a time when you visited a zoo or saw an animal that did something interesting?
  • In the story “Where Did My Teddy Go,” Teddy was hiding in different places. Have you ever lost a toy or something special? How did you feel when you found it?
  • We learned that everyone is special, no matter what they do. Can you think of something special that you or someone you know can do? How does it make you feel?
  1. Animal Role Play: Let’s pretend to be different animals from the zoo! Choose an animal like a chameleon, penguin, or blue whale. Think about what special activities they do. Can you move like them or make sounds they might make? Ask your friends or family to guess which animal you are pretending to be!

  2. Storytime Art: Draw a picture of your favorite part of the stories we read today. Was it when we found Teddy, or maybe when we learned about the animals at the zoo? Use lots of colors and details to show what you liked best. Share your drawing with someone and tell them about your favorite part of the story.

  3. Find Your Teddy: Just like in the story “Where Did My Teddy Go,” play a game of hide and seek with your teddy bear or favorite stuffed animal. Have someone hide it while you close your eyes, then see if you can find it by asking questions like, “Is Teddy on the chair?” or “Is Teddy near the bed?” This will help you practice asking questions and using clues to solve a mystery!

Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the transcript:

[Music] Hi everyone, welcome back to the Storytime Family! How have you been doing? Have you been learning lots of new things at school and making new friends? I hope you’ve been reading lots of books by yourself too. Thanks for taking the time out to read with us today!

Today, we have a book called “Who’s Pooh” by Daisy Bird and Mariana Coo. This sounds fun! Shall we have a look?

Now, what are you not going to do? We’re definitely not going to talk about that topic! Time to get ready now, you two. I’m going to take you to the zoo, but only if you’re good, which means no talking about that topic!

What kind of things would an astronaut do? Shiny, silver space-themed activities! Imagine that! What kind of things would a little dog do? Tiny, playful activities!

What’s all that noise about, you two? Nothing, nothing at all!

What kind of things would a chef do? He does gourmet creations on a big china plate, but it takes ages to prepare!

Do you think the balloon seller has fun with his creations? He does fun things you can twist into something new, and they burst if you step on them with your shoe!

Oh, look at that man with all the tattoos! What kind of things would that man do? Colorful, creative designs that someone drew!

What kind of things would the ice cream scooper do? Really cold and squishy treats that look like chocolate ice cream!

I better not hear that word again! Here we are now; we can learn all about the animals in the zoo. Think of all the different kinds of activities!

What kinds of things would these reptiles do? Chameleons do sneaky camouflage activities; they can hide them anywhere they want!

What kinds of things would the penguins do? Sparkly, frosty activities, and they will build little snow people too!

What kind of things would a blue whale do? A giant activity, the biggest you could ever imagine!

Now listen, it doesn’t matter who is who; it doesn’t matter what you do, things will always look the same!

Daddy, is that really true? Don’t we all do different things?

Alright, come and meet me at the keeper! This is what they do with all the activities; it helps the trees grow and the fruits and flowers too!

Take a look at what can be done! Wow, who knew? Look at all that, and it’s all a bit different, but it’s all the same too!

That’s right, now you get it! Everyone’s activities just look the same, so we don’t need to mention it ever again, do we?

Yes, Daddy, but something you wanted to say?

Nope!

And that was “Who’s Pooh.” Hope you found that entertaining! If you’d like to own a copy of this book, the link to purchase it is in our description below.
