Welcome to the Secret Museum!

Hey there, little explorer! Are you ready to go on a fun adventure? Let’s visit a special place called the Secret Museum. It’s a magical museum where you can learn about amazing heroes from the past!

Meet the Heroes

In the Secret Museum, you will meet great heroes who did wonderful things. These heroes are people who changed the world with their bravery and kindness. Isn’t that exciting?

A Girl with a Big Dream

There’s a girl in the story who believes she can make the world a better place. She shows us that anyone can be a hero, no matter how small they are. Do you have a big dream too?

Join the Adventure

You can watch the Secret Museum on PBS Kids starting Monday, November 11th. You can also find it on the PBS Kids video app. Get ready to learn and have fun with your new hero friends!

Let’s Be Heroes!

Remember, you can be a hero every day by being kind and helping others. What kind of hero will you be today?

Have fun exploring and learning, little hero!

  • What do you think makes someone a hero? Can you think of someone in your life who is a hero to you, and why?
  • If you could meet a hero from the past, who would it be and what would you like to ask them?
  • Do you have a big dream like the girl in the story? What is it, and how do you think you can start working towards it?
  1. Hero Dress-Up Day: Encourage the children to dress up as their favorite hero from the Secret Museum or a hero they admire in real life. Ask them to share with the class why they chose that hero and what heroic qualities they admire. This activity helps children understand the traits that make someone a hero and encourages them to embody those traits in their daily lives.

  2. Heroic Acts Journal: Provide each child with a small notebook to create their own “Heroic Acts Journal.” Ask them to draw or write about one kind or brave thing they did each day for a week. At the end of the week, have a sharing session where they can talk about their favorite heroic act. This activity encourages children to reflect on their actions and recognize the impact of kindness and bravery.

  3. Hero Story Time: Gather the children in a circle and read a story about a historical hero or a fictional character who made a positive impact. After the story, ask questions like, “What did the hero do that was brave?” or “How did the hero help others?” Encourage the children to think about how they can apply similar actions in their own lives.
