You Make Your Parents Super Happy

Guess what? Your parents are super proud of you! You make them happier than ice cream, puppies, or sunny days. Isn’t that amazing?

Sometimes, parents don’t agree on everything. They might get upset or angry with each other. Even though they tried to get along, they decided it was better to live in two separate homes. This way, everyone can be happier.

It might feel a little scary or sad at first, but don’t worry! Your parents love you so much that they make sure to spend lots of time with you. They read you stories, make yummy dinners, and take you to fun places.

Even if your parents don’t agree on everything, they both know one thing for sure: you are amazing, and they love you with all their hearts. That will never change, no matter what!

You Make Everyone Happy!

Isn’t that a lovely story? Remember, you make your parents super happy! I know this because my kids make me happy every day, even when they argue a little. I still love them so much, just like your parents love you!

  • How do you feel when you make someone happy, like your parents or friends? Can you think of a time when you did something that made someone smile?
  • Why do you think it’s important for parents to be happy, even if they live in different homes? How can you help make both of your parents feel special?
  • What are some fun activities you enjoy doing with your family? How do these activities make you feel, and why do you think they are important?
  1. Draw Your Happy Place: Think about a place where you feel really happy. It could be at home, at the park, or anywhere else you love. Draw a picture of this place and include the people who make you feel happy, like your parents or friends. Share your drawing with the class and talk about why this place makes you feel good.

  2. Feelings Matching Game: Create cards with different facial expressions showing emotions like happy, sad, angry, and surprised. Mix them up and try to match each face with the right emotion. Talk about times when you felt these emotions and what made you feel better. This helps us understand that everyone has different feelings, just like in the story.

  3. Family Time Adventure: Plan a fun activity to do with your family, like a picnic, a game night, or reading a book together. After the activity, talk about how spending time together made you feel. Share your experience with the class and discuss how these moments help us feel loved and happy, just like in the story.

“You Make Your Parents Super Happy.”

Hey! I think you should know there is nothing your parents are more proud of than you. You make them super happy—more than ice cream, or puppies, or sunny days.

But your parents don’t agree on everything. Sometimes they make each other really upset and really angry. While they’ve tried hard to get along, they realized that if they stayed living in the same place, things would get very unhappy for everyone. So they decided it was better to live in two separate homes.

That seems a bit scary, pretty sad, and certainly not what you were expecting. But neither of them could bear to be without you for too long, so they make sure that they both see you a lot, read you stories, make your dinner, and take you to fun places.

So even though your parents don’t agree on everything, the one thing they’re both sure of is that you are amazing, and they both love you with all their hearts. And whatever they do, and whatever you do, that will never change.

Wasn’t that lovely? It’s true—you make your parents super happy!

Take it from me, I know for sure. Make sure that you know that you make your parents super happy no matter what. My boys always make me happy, except when they bicker, but I still love them every day. Always. And that goes for you too!
