One sunny day, Zack and Rex were playing their favorite game, hide and seek! Zack was really good at hiding, and Rex wanted to get better at it too.
Zack said, “Do you want to be it this time, Rex?” Rex agreed and started counting, “One, two, three…” while Zack ran to find a hiding spot.
Rex looked everywhere, but Zack was hiding so well! Finally, Zack said, “I give up! I’m right here!” He was hiding behind a rock the whole time!
Rex decided he needed a disguise to hide better. He tried using sticks, but Zack could still see his bright yellow color. Then, Rex tried using leaves, but the wind blew them away!
Finally, Rex had a great idea! He covered himself with mud, which helped him blend in with the plants. Zack couldn’t find him at all!
Zack said, “Wow, Rex, that’s an amazing disguise! You are the hide-and-seek champion of Zerbyland!”
After playing hide and seek, Zack and Rex wanted to drive over a big log. They decided to build a ramp using sand to get on top of it.
They called their friends Chase and Strut to help. Together, they piled up lots of sand to make a ramp. But the sand was too soft, and their wheels kept slipping.
Walter, their friend, had a great idea. He sprayed water on the sand to make it stronger. Now, Zack and Rex could drive up the ramp and reach the top of the log!
Zack and Rex wanted to make their sand pit bigger so they could play more. They decided to bring more sand from a faraway sand pit.
Rex was great at carrying sand, but it was a big job. Zack found a piece of bark that looked like a scoop. He used it to carry sand too!
With their new scoop, Zack and Rex worked together to bring lots of sand back to Zerby Town. Their sand pit got bigger, and they had lots of fun playing!
