Hello, my reading friends! I’m so happy you’re here to read with me today. We have a special story about Easter that uses rocks to tell the story of Jesus. It’s really fun and interesting!
Jesus loves you and me very much. He came to earth to help us feel happy and to show us the way back to God. The last week of Jesus’ life was very important. Many people were happy to see Him because He was their Savior, but some people wanted to hurt Him. One of His friends even turned against Him.
Before Jesus died, He had a special dinner with His friends. He taught them to love and help each other. He also told them to remember Him when they eat and drink together. After dinner, Jesus prayed in a garden. He took on all our sadness and pain so we wouldn’t have to carry it alone.
Jesus chose to give His life on the cross for us. He did this to save us from our mistakes and to bring us back to God. After He died, He was placed in a tomb. But guess what? After three days, Jesus came back to life! Because of this, we will all live again someday.
When Jesus was alive again, He visited His friends. He asked them to share the happy news with everyone. Then, Jesus went to heaven, but He promised to come back one day. Jesus did all of this because He loves us so much. How can you show your love for Jesus?
Wasn’t that a wonderful story? I hope you enjoyed learning about Jesus and Easter. See you next time!
Rock Painting Activity: Gather some small, smooth rocks and paint them with symbols or scenes from the Easter story. You can paint a cross, a tomb, or a heart to represent Jesus’ love. Once the paint is dry, use these rocks to retell the Easter story to your family or friends. This activity helps you remember the story and share it with others.
Garden Prayer Walk: Just like Jesus prayed in the garden, take a walk in a garden or park with a grown-up. As you walk, think about things you are thankful for and things you might want to pray about. You can even find a special spot to sit quietly and talk to God, just like Jesus did.
Love and Help Challenge: Jesus taught us to love and help each other. Think of one kind thing you can do for someone each day this week. It could be helping a friend, sharing a toy, or saying something nice. Keep a journal or draw pictures of what you did each day to show love and kindness.

“He is Risen: Rocks Tell the Story of Easter” by Patty Rocca. There are scripture references on each page, so feel free to stop the video and read them together.
Jesus loves me, and He loves you too. Jesus came to earth to bring us healing and joy and to lead us back home to God. The last week of His mortal life was the most important week ever. Many people celebrated Him as the Savior, but some people wanted to harm Him. One friend betrayed Him. Before Jesus died, He taught His friends important lessons at His last supper: love and serve one another, eat and drink in remembrance of Me. Then He prayed in a garden, taking upon Himself all our pain and sorrows so we can let them go.
Jesus willingly gave His life on the cross. He paid the price for our sins to rescue us and bring us home. He was buried in a tomb. After three days, Jesus came back to life. We will all live again because He conquered death. Alive again, Jesus visited His friends. He asked His friends to share the good news. Jesus went to heaven. He promised to come back. Jesus did it all for me and for you. How will you show your love for Jesus?
