Hello, my reading friends! I’m Ani, and I’m super excited to share a special Christmas story with you today. It’s called “Santa on a Panda,” and it’s a really fun and different kind of Christmas story. Are you ready to hear all about it? Let’s go!
Once upon a time, it was Christmas Eve, and Santa had a big problem. His reindeer were on vacation! Oh no! But don’t worry, Santa found a panda to help him. This panda was very special because it could fly! Santa gave it some yummy ice cream, and off they went to deliver presents to all the good boys and girls.
The panda was super strong and flew really fast. They zoomed past outer space and into a strange new place. There, they met flying robots and a big monster! Oh my! Santa and the panda got caught in a cage by a little boy who wanted toys. This boy was called Space Boy, and he was feeling sad because he was always naughty.
But Santa had a special gift for Space Boy. He showed him the true meaning of Christmas, which is all about peace and forgiveness. When Santa was kind to him, Space Boy felt happy and let Santa and the panda go free. Hooray! Merry Christmas!
Now, let’s say hello to some of our friends who are reading with us today:
Hello to everyone! I’m so happy we got to read together. I hope you enjoyed our story today. See you next time for more fun adventures!
Flying Panda Craft: Let’s make our own flying panda! Gather some paper, crayons, and scissors. Draw a panda and color it in. Then, cut it out and attach it to a stick or straw. Pretend your panda can fly just like in the story. Where will your panda go? What adventures will it have? Share your story with a friend or family member.
Christmas Kindness Jar: Just like Santa showed kindness to Space Boy, let’s think of ways we can be kind to others. Find a jar and some small pieces of paper. Write or draw acts of kindness you can do, like helping a friend or sharing a toy. Each day, pick one and try to do it. How does it make you feel when you are kind to others?
Space Adventure Imagination: Imagine you are on a space adventure with Santa and the panda. What would you see? What kind of creatures or robots might you meet? Draw a picture of your space adventure and share it with the class. What did you learn about being brave and kind from your adventure?
Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the transcript:

**Santa on a Panda** by Parker Jacobs
This book is dedicated to the true meaning of Christmas, Santa Claus, and pandas.
It was Christmas Eve, and Santa was in trouble. The reindeer were on vacation, so Santa found a panda. It was made in China. He gave it flying powers, attached it to his sleigh, and bribed it with ice cream.
So they delivered all the presents to the good boys and girls, but the panda was too powerful. They flew too fast and went beyond outer space into a strange new dimension where they battled flying robots and got clobbered by a monster.
Santa and the panda found themselves in a cage. The robots and giant monsters were controlled by a little boy. He captured Santa and the panda because he wanted to have some toys. Space Boy was bad; he was always naughty, which truly made him sad. But Santa knew the answer: it was the gift of Christmas, bringing peace and forgiveness.
Set free!
Merry Christmas!
Wasn’t it great how the little boy changed after Santa was kind to him and taught him the true meaning of Christmas? I just love when that happens!
