Today, we’re going to read a book called “Tell Me About Your Day” by Olivia Orr. It’s a special book where we get to talk to a cute little dog. If you have the book, go grab it so you can read along with me!
Hello there! The friendly dog is excited to see you. He loves being petted and going for car rides. What was your favorite thing that happened today? You can say it out loud! My favorite thing was talking to my grandkids on FaceTime. It made me very happy!
Every day has something special, but sometimes things happen that make us sad. The little dog didn’t like taking a bath or missing out on smelling things during his walk. Did something make you feel unhappy today? You can share it out loud too. I stubbed my toe, and it made me sad. How about you?

Hello there! I’m so excited to see you. Well, hello to you too! You sure are a friendly little dog. Isn’t he cute? Today, some of my favorite things were being petted and going for a car trip. Okay, my reading friends, what was your favorite thing about today? We are so blessed. Every day, there is something to be grateful for, but it’s also okay when things happen that make us sad. Some of the things I did not like today were having to take a bath and not having time to smell everything on my walk. Was there something that happened today that made you feel unhappy?
