Hi there! I’m Annie, and I’m so happy you’re here with me today. Do you like stories? I have a fun one for us to read together. It’s called “Sock on the Loose.” Have you ever wondered where your missing socks go? Let’s find out!
Socks are like best friends for your feet. They come in pairs and keep your toes warm and cozy. They love to splash in puddles and play in the snow with you. But sometimes, one sock goes missing! Oh no! Where did it go?
Maybe the sock wanted to have some fun! It might have run away with a moose or sneaked off for some juice. It’s a sock on the loose! Just like you, socks like to explore and have adventures.
When socks are free, they can do all sorts of things! Fuzzy sock plays with Dot, and old sock learns to tie a bow knot. Sports sock finds new shoes, and striped socks splash with seals. Socks can surf on moon waves, explore watermelon caves, and even learn to cook!
After lots of fun, the blue sock starts to miss its home. It remembers its friends and the cozy feeling of snuggling your feet. Other socks miss home too. Striped sock misses its buddy, and old sock wants a warm bath. Sports sock misses its sneaker, and fuzzy sock wants a nice walk.
Don’t worry if your sock goes missing. It might just be on an adventure! Socks often come back home, so keep an eye out. While you sleep, your sock might sneak back to its place.
So, that’s the story of the missing socks. I’m glad they come back! Now, let’s say hello to some friends: Desmond, Perry, Emma, Jeremy, Camila, Julian, Eloise, Angelo, Lauren, Cali, Isabella, Henry, and Bianca. I’m so happy you’re all part of my reading family. See you next time for more fun stories!
Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the transcript:

Hello, my reading friends! It’s Annie. I’m so happy you came to see me today. If you like these stories, be sure to subscribe and make sure to watch all the way through because I’m going to do some shout-outs at the end. Are you ready for a story?
Do you ever wonder what happens to all of your socks that go missing? Let’s find out together as we read “Sock on the Loose.” If you have a copy, go get it so you can read along with me as well.
**Sock on the Loose by Connor McLaughlin**
Socks come in twos, snuggled up in your shoes. They give your feet cuddles when you splash in puddles, and they warm your small toes whenever it snows.
What’s back inside? It’s time to get dry! They go for a wash, then for a spin, and now off to bed, tucked in with its twin. At night, they sleep tight, matching pairs in a row until—wait a minute! Oh no! Where did the other blue sock go? Did it run away with a moose? Sneak off for some juice?
Whatever happened, it’s a sock on the loose! Perhaps, just like you, it has things it must do. Or maybe the sock wants to explore the great big world outside of its drawer.
So it’s off to a place where nothing is stinky—no heels, no toes, and no little pinkies. No pairs, no matching, just freedom and fun. No wonder this little sock’s on the run!
And look, it’s not the only one! Fuzzy sock wants to play with Dot. Old sock learns how to tie a bow knot. Sports sock finds a new pair of heels. Striped socks splash around with some seals.
There are so many things a sock can do when given the chance to try something new: surf a big moon wave, explore a watermelon cave, try a new look, learn how to cook.
After days of fun and lots of adventure, blue sock is sleepy and starts to remember its friends in rows—so tidy and neat and the comfort of snuggling your little feet.
It seems blue sock is not on its own. Some of its friends also want to go home. Striped sock misses its other half. Old sock needs a hot bubble bath. Sports sock wants a sneaker sole. Fuzzy sock feels like a nice long stroll.
You see, a sock on the loose has been known to come back, so don’t lose hope if you can’t keep track. Through the door and over the floor, blue sock might return while you snooze.
So the next time a sock is not on its shelf, don’t worry—it’s just finding itself!
So that’s what happens to all of my socks that go missing. I sure am glad when they turn up again!
